Membership Information and Pricing for 2007-2008 season

Membership fees cover the cost of the facility rental and opportunity for supervised open practice. Fencing floor time is available to members seven days a week as scheduled, along with assistance and coaching in local tournaments. Members are entitled to a 15% discount for all in-house camps.

Membership Rates - from September 1st 2007 to August 31st 2008
Individual Adult (14 years and up) $600 per year
  Youth (13 years and younger) $400 per year
Family Discounts Second family member (14 and up) Save $200 per year
  Second family member (13 and younger) Save $150 per year
  Third family member (14 and up) Save $350 per year
  Third family member (13 and younger) Save $200 per year

**Membership is not required for the first 3 months of fencing at North Shore**

Payment Policy:

  • All fees are payable at the commencement of the first week of each block of 4 weeks if paying monthly (a month is equal to 4 calendar weeks).
  • Missed Private lessons are subject to a full lesson fee if not cancelled 24 hours in advance.
  • Make-up classes are available for missed classes but must be scheduled within 7 days.
  • Annual fees are due in the first 2 weeks of September for the current fencing year.
  • Annual club membership is required after 3 month of fencing at North Shore FC or additional fees will be applied to lessons (see pricing sheet for non-members)
  • All fees are nonrefundable.
  • Students are required 15 minutes before the lesson to warm-up.
  • Refund/Returned Check processing fee = $25.

What is the right age to begin fencing for your child?


Although fencing can be taught to beginners of any age, we are often asked this question by parents. For a child who may be interested in competitive fencing, the perfect age to begin lessons is between 6 and 12 years old.
